Praamid operates the main Virtsu to Kuivastu and Rohuküla to Heltermaa routes. Frequency, vehicle capacity and disruption information are mutable, so EstoniaLink does not reproduce a permanent timetable.

Foot passengers and through-coaches can make an island town possible without driving, but rural movement after arrival remains a separate decision.

The Triigi to Sõru connection can support an island-hopping route, but it is more seasonal than the main mainland crossings. Confirm the sailing before fixing accommodation on both islands.

Build one crossing into each travel day

A ferry day can still include Muhu, Kuressaare or Haapsalu, but avoid combining a crossing with a full island circuit. The best first day is the one that still works if boarding or road conditions take longer than expected.

Match the route to the island

Use Virtsu-Kuivastu for Muhu and Saaremaa, and Rohuküla-Heltermaa for Hiiumaa. The Sõru-Triigi link can connect Hiiumaa and Saaremaa when it operates for the chosen dates. Check that crossing before committing to accommodation on both islands.
